研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This research is aimed at developing fast and efficient algorithms for finding out the most important feature subset for recognition, classification and mining of big data in the area of business, medical or social media by novel integration of quantum computing with machine learning.

研究実績の概要 |
This year we have summarized our research results we have acheived so far. We critically examined our research methodology and the algorithms we developed with larger data sets for evaluation of the algorithms. We summarized the merits and demerits, success and failure of our research outcome so far and wrote a review paper. We are now revising the draft to make the final version to submit as a journal paper. We realized that we need to extend some more simulation experiments in quantum computer platform to validate our results. We extended the projects fore one more year and this year we are planning to collaborate with foreign universities to use their resources to conduct simulation experiments. I also gave keynote lectures in several conferences and conveyed our research outcomes to wider audience.

理由
Due to COVID situations in India in 2020 and 2021, we could not collaborate properly with our research collaborators in India. We could not execute our previous plans as institutions were closed for a long time. We could not also visit India to have longer collaborations for implementation of our algorithms and having input for one of the collaborators regarding quantum computing. We only could collaborate via zoom meetings. From the beginning of 2022, we resumed our research collaboration. We also contacted other foreign researchers for expert comments and extension of simulation experiments in quantum platform.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
This year I plan to visit University of Upper Austria (Hagensberg) and use their quantum computing platform for further evaluation of our algoithms. I also plan to 1) attend International conference to present our research results 2) Publish the review of our research results in international journal.
