| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
To investigate the sociohistorical framework within which the notion of disability was developed and how it has influenced the way we understand our “abled” society, this study analyzes a contemporary adaptation of the life of the nineteenth-century blind writer Frances Browne and its reception.

| 研究実績の概要 |
In previous years, my research has centered on Frances Browne’s works, their modern theatrical adaptation performed in 2021, and the contextual environment surrounding the production. I conducted qualitative interviews with the playwright and a literary manager from one of Ireland's major theaters.
The findings from these interviews were presented at two conferences, where I received valuable feedback from peers.
This year, my primary focus has been on refining my manuscript for publication.

理由
As previously reported, the COVID-19 pandemic spanning 2020 to 2022 significantly disrupted my research project from its inception during the funded period. This unforeseen circumstance necessitated changes in my working methods and unexpectedly increased my workload.
As a result, I have had to continually adjust my research schedule to manage these challenges while maintaining focus and ensuring the quality of my work.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
In FY2024, my objective is to finalize my manuscript by integrating gathered data and analysis. This process will entail synthesizing findings and refining arguments for clarity and coherence.
Once completed, I aim to submit the manuscript to a peer-reviewed academic journal for publication.
