| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
Transnational labor migration (TLM) within Asia is rising, benefitting both migrant-sending and migrant- receiving countries. With rising labor mobilities, scholars and policy makers have raised critical issues of precarious inclusion of migrant workers in the Asian labor markets. Drawing on the comparative, multi-sited investigation of labor migration from Nepal to Japan and Malaysia, this interdisciplinary project will generate nuanced, differentiated theoretical understandings of migrant precarity in Asia in the global context of the rapid growth of precarious employment.

この学際的プロジェクトは、不安定雇用の急速な増加という世界的な背景の中で、アジアにおける移民の不安定さについて、ニュアンスの異なる理論的理解を生み出しました。研究成果としては 次のようなものがあります。査読付き論文を2本、主要な国際誌に発表した： GeoforumとJournal of Ethnic and Migration Studiesという国際的な一流誌に2本の査読付き論文を発表し、1冊の本も出版しました。
大きな成果として、私は 2020年早稲田大学研究奨励賞（ハイインパクト・パブリケーション）を受賞したことです

This project has generated nuanced theoretical understandings of migrant precarity, with scientific contributions reflected in articles published in leading international journals. Key research insights will inform regional and national migration policies for promoting safer migration.
