研究概要

どのような大きさの花をいくつ作るのか、それぞれの花に胚珠をいくつ用意するのか(花・胚珠の生産戦略)。この戦略は、虫媒花において非常に多様に分化している。本研究では、余剰花の適応的意義・花の大きさと数のトレードオフ・訪花昆虫の誘引を統合し、最適な花・胚珠生産戦略を理論的に解析した。そして、その予測の検証実験も行った。
