植物の二成分情報伝達系による高次機能統御の包括的理解

研究概要

情報伝達基本機構である二成分情報伝達系(以下 TCS と略)は微生物に最も普遍的な環境シグナル検知・応答機構である。しかし、永い進化を経て植物においても環境シグナル検知・応答機構として重要な生理機能の制御に関わっていることが知られている。特に、サイトカイニンやエチレンなどの植物ホルモンに応答した情報伝達系や概日時計機構に必須の役割を担っている。本研究計画ではモデル植物シロイヌナズナだけでなく、モデルマメ科植物ミヤコグサや最初の陸上植物の子孫であるヒメツリガネゴケを対象として TCS による植物の高次機能統御における役割とその分子機構を包括的に理解することを目的とした。その結果、サイトカイニンの応答機構や概日時計機構に関して多くの新しい知見を得ることができた。これらの成果は30報近く学術論文として公表した。
