研究概要

旧食虫類における多系統的な形質を機能形態学的に検討した。筋骨格系、消化器系、泌尿生殖器系、感覚器系、皮膚・表皮系などを旧食虫類の諸目間で形態学的に比較検討を行った。その結果、それぞれの器官において、形態学的類似や差異を確認することができ、真無盲腸目、皮翼目、登攀目、アフリカトガリネズミ目などの旧食虫類諸群間の多系統的進化史理論を確立することができた。
