研究概要

バンカーサイロで調製したトウモロコシホールクロップからAcetobacter pasteurianusを優勢菌として分離した。A. pasteurianusの存在はDGGEでも確認され、岡山だけでなく北京(中国)で行った実態調査でもA. pasteurianusが高頻度で検出された。分離株を用いてサイレージへの添加実験を行ったところ、A. pasteurianusはトウモロコシサイレージでのみ開封後の好気的変敗を遅延させた。この効果はBacillus spp.の生育抑制を介したものと考えられたが、変敗抑制効果は確実なものではなく、イタリアンライグラス、ギニアグラスおよび飼料イネサイレージではまったく見られなかった。また、開封後にA. pasteurianusを添加すると、トウモロコシサイレージでは好気的変敗が促進した。空気が侵入しやすいバンカーサイロはA. pasteurianusの好適な生息場所であり、嫌気貯蔵と好気的変敗の両者において、他の細菌群集と相互作用していることが明らかとなった。
