研究概要

トロンボモジュリン(TM)は、凝固線溶系の中心的な分子である。TMは血管内皮細胞だけでなく他の細胞にも発現している。TMは凝固線溶系以外にも機能を有していることが示唆される。実際、TMは新規炎症性メディエーターHigh Mobility Group Box-1(HMGB1)をトロンビンと複合体を形成し、HMGB1の抗炎症作用が見出されている。したがって、本研究ではTMの新規機能および結合タンパク質の探索を目的とする。その結果、TMは核内タンパク質のヒストンH3と結合する可能性を見出した。
