研究概要

中米、東アジア、東南アジアの熱帯、亜熱帯域においてイチジク属植物の集合花、及び、昆虫(主として甲虫と膜翅目)からDiplogastridae科の線虫を採集し、形態的多様性、遺伝的多様性を解析した。Parasitodiplogaster属、及びその近縁属に関して口腔形態の詳細な観察を行い、新種の記載、既知種の再記載、さらには、口腔形態二型化が見られることを明らかにした。そして、これを分子系統関係と比較し、形態進化(分化)過程を明らかにした。
