研究概要

酸性土壌では、強酸性、アルミニウム・重金属などの金属過剰害、リン酸の不溶化、窒素固定菌の活性低下などが複合して植物の生育阻害が起こっている。酸性土壌適応植物と微生物群が形成する植物・微生物共生体から、環境修復や食糧増産などへの応用が期待される微生物群を取得してきた。これら有用微生物の生産するバイオフィルム(多糖)の解析を進めるとともに、分類学的性状について検討を加え、新種の提案を行った。
