研究概要

CD1d拘束性のナチュラルキラーT(NKT)細胞は胸腺のCD4陽性CD8陽性のダブルポジティブ(DP)から分化発生すると考えられている。我々はNKT細胞前駆細胞が、野生型及びにCD1d欠損マウス両方に、DPよりも未分化なCD4陰性CD8陰性ダブルネガティブ(DN)のステージ4(DN4)に存在することを明らかにし、NKT細胞のT細胞抗原受容体であるVα14Jα18受容体が細胞表面に発現する前にNKT細胞の発生を特徴づける新しい概念を提唱した。
