研究概要

成体マウス心臓より単離したSca-1陽性心筋前駆細胞を用いて細胞シートを作成し、心筋梗塞マウス心臓へ移植したところ、心臓機能の経時的な回復が観察された。Sca-1陽性細胞は可溶性VCAM-1を発現し、可溶性VCAM-1はその受容体であるVLA-4を介して血管新生、心筋保護、Sca-1陽性自身の遊走・生着を促進し、細胞シート移植のよる心臓機能回復を調節していることが明らかとなった。
