研究概要

現在、日本国内で社会問題となっている自殺行動の生物学的機序を解明し、自殺予防のための治療モデルを開発する為に、我々はストレス反応を主に制御するHPA axis(視床下部-下垂体-副腎皮質系)関連遺伝子に着目し自殺との関連解析を行った。我々はFKBP5遺伝子の特定のハプロタイプと自殺に有意な相関を認め、自殺行動には遺伝的脆弱性が関与していることを明らかにした。さらにALDH2、NOS1遺伝子と自殺、NOS1遺伝子と統合失調症との有意な相関を認めた。これらの知見より自殺行動のバイオマーカーとしていくつかの遺伝子変異が利用できる可能性があることを示した。
