Objective: Identify the impacts of intergenerational transfer of environmental education and self- monitoring on household indoor air pollution reduction Treatments: 1. Environmental education and 2. Self-monitoring of indoor air quality Randomization: Participants will randomly allocated into treatment and control groups Outcome: Households daily indoor air pollution Unit of Analysis: Households in rural Bangladesh and India Data: Primary survey data, Daily indoor air pollution data Method: Field experiment (RCT). 研究実績の概要 |
Based on the preliminary observational data of rural households in Bangladesh, I have observed that indoor air pollution is one of the most significant cause of respiratory diseases and premature deaths. I am now investigating the impact of environmental education of child towards action to reduce indoor air pollution.

理由
The progress of the project is smooth at this point of time. The data collection process for the representative samples are ongoing. I will conduct experiment at household level in Bangladesh.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
This project is highly relevant to sustainable development goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. I have hypothesized that intergenerational transfer of environmental knowledge from children to parent might have revolutionary impact on indoor air pollution reduction. Based on the outcome of my analysis, I will develop model and write academic article to deal with this challenge.
