研究開始時の研究の概要 |
Using quantum beam of muon available in accelerator facilities, detection/behavior of oxygen content in haemoglobin, blood plasma and red blood cell, and in their inhomogeneous systems will be understood. The outcome from this study will help to pave the way for development of noninvasive tool of muon (as a long term goal) to diagnosis the cancer in early stage.
|
研究実績の概要 |
As proposed and planned, to achieve long-term goal of detection of the molecular oxygen in biosamples using muon method to apply the muon method in cancer research, the systematic studies were performed in water, buffer and derivatives of hemoglobin using the muon. As a next step, the detection of oxygen in biosamples (hemoglobin, blood plasma under physiological conditions) and inhomogeneous system of hemoglobin and blood plasma will be performed within the extended project period.

理由
Even though, I proposed to study directly from biosamples (hemoglobin, blood plasma, etc.) but at the starting of this study the temperature dependent oscillating spectra in water attracted the focus. Now we summarize those data that provides new insight into muon spectroscopy. It makes delay in progress.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
So far, the temperature dependent behavior in water and buffer were understood. For further study these water and buffer data provides background information for study in biomolecules like hemoglobin and real tissues. In the remaining time of the project, detection of oxygen in biosamples under physiological conditions.
