研究概要

オセアニア集団を対象に、beta2アドレナリン受容体遺伝子(ADRB2)多型と肥満との関連を検討し、ADRB2遺伝子上流領域に存在する単一塩基多型(SNP) rs34623097が肥満と強い関連を示すことを見出した。ドーパミンD4受容体遺伝子(DRD4)の反復配列多型(VNTR)を解析した。台湾先住民、オセアニア人集団のVNTRアリル頻度分布から、ポリネシア人の祖先は東南アジアに起源をもち、メラネシアにおいて先住民と混血したと推察された。TRIB2遺伝子の3'非翻訳領域に位置するrs1057001-Tアリルが、性別、年齢、BMIで調整した内臓脂肪面積の増加と関連していることを見出した。
