研究概要

アニマルウェルフェアの基本的な考え方を養魚に導入するために、自発摂餌で鮭鱒類を飼育し、アニマルウェルフェア五原則(空腹や不快の回避、痛み・損傷・病気や恐怖・苦痛の回避、異常行動の抑制など)に関する実験を行った。その結果、混養、シェルターの設置などを組入れることによりアニマルウェルフェアを考慮した養魚は可能であることが示唆された。
