研究概要

哺乳動物の黄体は、妊娠の成立と維持に必須の分泌期間であり、妊娠が成立しなかった場合には退行し次の発情発期が回帰する。プロスタグランジンF2α (PGF)によって誘導される黄体退行は、プロジェステロンの減少を主徴とする機能的退行と黄体内細胞死による構造的退行の二つの局面からなる。こうしたPGFのウシ黄体退行作用は、PGFの活性酸素(ROS)の発生を刺激する事が示唆示されているが、その作用機序について明らかにされていない。本研究では、PGFによる黄体退行メカニズムを明らかにし、PGF のウシ黄体由来血管内皮細胞およびステロイド合成細胞におけるROS発生刺激作用について明らかとなった。PGFはROSとの相互作用を介して、機能的退行(2時間)時の初期増加および構造退行(24時間)時の減少という二相性的に SOD を調節することが示された。
