研究概要

本研究課題では、米国の財別の価格データを用い、財レベルのインフレ率や都市間で生じる一物一価の乖離の研究を行った。特に、価格変動と価格の粘着性の間の相互関連性を実証と理論の両面から明らかにした。本研究課題の最初の論文では、金融政策や技術のショックに対する財レベルのインフレ率のパターンを明らかにし、理論モデルを用いて、そのパターンの説明を試みた。他方、次の論文では、米国都市間の価格格差の持続性に着目した。この論文では、企業の持つ情報の不完全性を導入することで、一物一価の乖離の持続性の統計的性質を説明できる可能性があることが明らかになった。
