研究概要

本研究は数学の結晶学への応用を目指すものであるが、結果としては、理論と応用（ここでは、ソフトウェアとしての実現)の両面で多数の成果が得られている。まず、ブラベー格子決定、粉末指数付けにおいて、当該研究の成果として得られた新しい解析手法・ソフトウェアは、理論的庇護のなさ、誤差への安定性、計算速度において、現在、世界最良のものである。ブラベー格子決定においては、同じ方法論に則って解析を行う限り、これ以上の改善はできないことも論文中で示しており、今後、長く使われる解析手法になるだろう。また、位相問題の全ての解を列挙する未知構造解析アルゴリズムの理論開発も行い、今後、実用面の調査を続ける予定である。
