研究概要

我々は、インスリンやインスリン様成長因子(IGF)の細胞内シグナルを仲介するインスリン受容体基質(IRS)がRNAと複合体を形成していることを見出し、この複合体形成の意義を解析した。その結果、IRSは、(1)small nucleolar RNA(snoRNA)の生合成を促進して、リボソームの成熟・活性化を進める、(2)mRNAの配列内リボソーム進入部位(IRES)を介した翻訳を調節する、という多面的な意義を有している可能性を示した。
