研究開始時の研究の概要 |
The nucleation and collapse of vapor nanobubbles in nanopores by Joule heating is impulsive and momentary, i.e. their lifespan is in nanoseconds before they collapse and nucleate again. This provides an opportunity to understand the phenomenon and energy released during the collapse of a single nanobubble, which is hypothesized to exhibit luminescence. The research towards active control of emitted light is promising in the development of targeted luminescence and can open new avenues in biomedical sciences, light-emitting electronics, or manipulating light-sensitive nanomaterials.
