研究開始時の研究の概要 |
The outline of the research can be described as below, a)wide literature survey on the reported studies, b)heat and fluid flow in a pipe assisted with nano-encapsulated PCM particle, c)establish an experimental setup , d)validation of numerical results, e)suggestion of correlations.

研究実績の概要 |
A wide literature review was done and many articles in this field was studied carefully. In order to solve the governing equations, two solvers were made in the COMSOL and OPENFOAM software. The governing equations were made dimensionless and the governing parameters were obtained. The effects of them on maximizing the heat transfer and minimization of pressure drop were investigated. The study was done for micro channels with rectangular cross-section. Many interesting results were found, and that’s why an abstract relating to the obtained results was sent to an international conference. An experimental device was designed and necessary equipment and materials such as microchannel, nano-encapsulated PCM etc. were ordered and received. Establishment of the experimental setup was started.

理由
The numerical results are needed before designing an experiment setup. A lot of revisions had to be done in the standard solvers of two programs in COMSOL and OPENFOAM. This long process of revisions of standard solvers caused a slight delay in the plan, but now we have two solvers works successfully. After receiving the interesting results by these solvers, the experiment setup could be designed and the necessary equipment could be ordered. That's why the experimental setup will be finished in this year (2023) and experiments will be started.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
a) The experimental setup will be fully completed and experiments will be started for the channel with heat source and a channel with heat sink. b) Numerical results will be obtained for different Reynolds number and nano-encapsulated PCM concentration and compared with experimental results, by this way the validation of the obtained numerical results will be done. c) The effect of dimensionless parameters which are Reynolds number, nano-encapsulated PCM concentration and operation temperature will be studied in details. d) The obtained results will be published in a journal and an international conference. e) The aforementioned steps (from a to d) will be repeated for a periodical microfluid channel consisting of both heating and cooling representing more realistic case.
