研究開始時の研究の概要 |
本研究は、教育研究で広く援用される学術研究と学習評価尺度関連研究をシステマティックレビューに基づき、STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art・Liberal Arts, Mathematics)学習経験尺度を提案する。具体的には高等教育機関のSTEAM教育プログラムを対象に、その学習経験を業績と成果、感情的/心理的刺激などの直接的な学習経験と間接学習経験に分け測定する。各項目の信頼性/妥当性分析にSTEAM教育経験がある各分野の学生から量的質的データを収集し、学習経験尺度の完成を目指す。本研究は、統合的STEAM 教育経験評価への実証的研究に挑む。

研究実績の概要 |
We established a theoretical model that can conceptualize the learning process and learning experiences, and we conducted a pilot educational program to obtain empirical data for further research.
We built a research collaboration with the educators in Korean and Chinese higher education institute to conduct relevant research projects in global contexts.
We have published our current research outcomes in three international conference proceedings, two international academic journal papers, and two papers are under review.

理由
As planned, we have made dynamic interactions among global educators and researchers in FY2023 thorough discussions with our collaborators, paper publications, and conference presentations in public. We implemented our pilot educational programs with a small group of learners and conducted a survey to evaluate the educational content itself and learning experiences based on our theoretical model we established. We have conducted fundamental research regarding our key conceptual terms on learning experiences and educational design in the higher education institutes to broaden our understandings in accordance with current circumstances.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
We expect more dynamic interactions among global educators and researchers in FY2024 thorough discussions with our collaborators, paper publications, and conference presentations in public. We are planning to revise our educational contents and pedagogical methods to implement in global settings to obtain larger sample empirical data. We have submitted a couple of research papers and will summit more papers in international academic journals and conference to improve it according to the evaluation and comments of reviewers and editors.
