研究開始時の研究の概要 |
One of the key questions facing our field is why is there more matter than antimatter. One of the most compelling paradigms to answer this question is electroweak baryogenesis. Next generation experiments promise to probe this exciting scenario, however there is a three decade old mystery where different methods of calculating the yield of baryon asymmetry produce radically different results. We present a road map to solve this mystery.

研究実績の概要 |
In 2022 I submitted 10 papers to scientific journals with 4 published and the rest pending. I also gave 16 international talks and ran an international conference based on the theme of the Kahenhi titled “what the heck happens when the Universe boils” which focused on technical aspects of understanding cosmic phase transitions.
Furthermore, one of the papers, titled “Resummation and cancellation of the VIA source in electroweak baryogenesis” solved a 30 year old problem - the resonantly enhanced VIA source does not exist. We were able to locate the source in the Kadanoff Bahm equations and show that it cancels exactly. There, numerical projects that show a resonantly enhanced source are finding different physics. I made progress with people at Technical University of Munich in identifying what this physics is and expect a paper to be released in the next few months.
