研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This study will collect daily data on temperature and mortality from more than 700 locations in 43 countries to estimate and project cold spells-related mortality under a changing climate in an international context. This research will be the first and the largest study to investigate the health impact of cold spells, by using a sophisticated interdisciplinary modeling framework with comprehensive data on fine geographical resolution.

研究実績の概要 |
The aim of this project is to assess and project the impact of cold spells on mortality under various climate change scenarios, by using daily time series data from multiple cities multiple countries on a global scale. In 2023, I finished data analysis and prepared a research paper. I have been revising the paper based on comments and suggestions from the co-authors, and aim for submission in 2024. Meanwhile, I have presented the outputs of this project at international online seminars.

The methodology of this project includes complicated statistical modeling. I spent a longer time than expected to develop the method and conduct the analysis.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
For the fiscal year 2024, I will finish the revision of the current research paper and submit for publication. In addition, I plan to reprint the updated outcomes at international conferences and seminars.
