研究開始時の研究の概要 |
The goal of my research is to make clear the advantages and consequences experienced by developing countries when engaging with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). As a global organization with significant technical capacity, there is the risk that the OECD is able to insert its vision for policy reform into domestic politics. This is particularly the case in the education sector. It is important to understand how the OECD engages with developing countries as well as the tradeoffs and risks that such countries confront when working with this organization.

研究実績の概要 |
The project for which I received funding has led to multiple kinds of research outcomes during AY2023. Outcomes include: 6 conference presentations, 3 journal articles, 3 books, and 2 blog posts. One short book was written about each case study. The third book is an edited volume of case studies from the region of focus in the project.
