| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
The goal of my research is to make clear the advantages and consequences experienced by developing countries when engaging with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). As a global organization with significant technical capacity, there is the risk that the OECD is able to insert its vision for policy reform into domestic politics. This is particularly the case in the education sector. It is important to understand how the OECD engages with developing countries as well as the tradeoffs and risks that such countries confront when working with this organization.

This project has revealed the ways that international organizations can influence education policymaking in poor countries. This is important because these organizations can have agendas, priorities, and worldviews that may not align with what poor countries want for themselves.
