研究開始時の研究の概要 |
The main outline of the research project is to design an efficient structured catalytic system for CO2 methanation by preparing highly dispersed metal NPs (Ni) on oxide support materials such as CeO2 and Al2O3, which can improve heat management and mass transfer to enhance the overall product yield.

研究実績の概要 |
The design of CO2 reduction was performed and preliminary experiments were carried out to test catalysts at relatively higher feed rate conditions. The CO2 methanation reaction was investigated by using granular and structured type Ni/CeO2 and Ru/CeO2 catalyst materials. Furthermore, the effect of insulating the reactor was experimented in order to sustain the methanation reaction without providing external heat to the reactor. The experiment was successful and various conditions were tested by varying the ratios of feed gases and their total flow rate. The obtained results were also presented during the 88th Annual Meeting of the Society of Chemical Engineers Japan at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo in March 2023. The manuscript is under preparation and will be submitted soon.
