研究開始時の研究の概要 |
The research proposal focuses on the analysis of several aspects of physics beyond general relativity to gain as much information as possible on the fundamental theory of gravity. Namely, it focuses on theory and phenomenology of non-singular black holes; tidal Love numbers and quasi-normal modes; information loss problem; minimally modified theories of gravity. The research will be of interest to theorists and experimentalists working in the fields of astrophysics, general relativity, and quantum gravity.

研究実績の概要 |
The research focused on aspects related to theory and phenomenology and non-singular black holes and the information loss paradox. Regarding non-singular black holes, Dr. Di Filippo have obtained a constrain regarding the possible presence of a surface for ultracompact objects mimicking supermassive black holes based on the absence of an outgoing thermal flux of radiation. He has also established a connection between regular black holes and ultracompact stars. Finally, he has discussed some aspect concerning the stability of regular black holes. Regarding the information paradox, the research focused on the introduction of a new techniques to study the quantum states of Hawking radiation. This should be regarded as a first step toward understanding the connection between soft hair and the information paradox. Finally, Dr. Di Filippo contributed to a book on regular black holes by co-writing a chapter.
