| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This research investigates the transformation of Rohingya people's family and gender relation in refugee camps and self-settlements along three border zones of South and Southeast Asia: Myanmar-Bangladesh, Thai-Myanmar, and Thai-Malaysian.

| 研究実績の概要 |
Since the start of the fellowship, we have made ourselves familiar with and updated ourselves on the required literature in border studies, family studies, and refugee/forced migration studies. The proposal has been refined and the conceptualization of the project has become more concrete. We have also finalized a detailed questionnaire which is supposed to guide and help us during our fieldwork. The first fieldwork in the South of Thailand will be held on 28 April 2023. The necessary materials to facilitate our work in Thailand have been acquired.

理由
We are on schedule as the CI is leaving for fieldwork as planned and we have refined the proposal and project topic. However, in contrast to the original plan, fieldwork in Thailand has been split into two separate periods to adapt to visa requirements for CI and to make better use of host's and guest researcher's contacts in the field.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
CI plans to conduct the field research in Thailand soon. Upon her return we will report and write up our research findings from the Thai South, refining the project further. At the same time, we will push forward CI's affiliation with Chittagong University for our prospective research in Bangladesh, which is supposed to take place from September - October 2023. At the end of the stay in Bangladesh, CI will begin to write up her findings from there. In November, we will then conduct fieldwork on Thailand's Western border. After returning from Thailand, We will write up my findings from the Thai-Myanmar borderland and finalize our report on findings around Cox's Bazaar. Lastly, we will work to conceptualize the findings for an academic article and begin planning the project's workshop.
