研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This study aimed to clarify brain structural atypicality in verbally abused children and adolescents and to identify whether GMV atypicality was associated with changes in actual auditory and language functions. Identifying sub-clinical and clinical auditory problems associated with structural and functional brain atypicality using rapid and objective measures, such as the pure-tone threshold, would contribute to detecting child maltreatment and, thus, providing immediate and timely intervention.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Databases accessible to Western University will be utilized for analysis and correlation with data obtained from Fukui University. Consequently, for the upcoming academic year, priority will be given to analyzing data from Fukui University to obtain preliminary results. Additionally, data from the Western University database will be analyzed to identify potential correlations, despite the differences in population demographics and heterogeneity.
