研究概要

NANTEN2ミリ波サブミリ波望遠鏡及びオーストラリアMopraミリ波望遠鏡を用いて、銀河系円盤部、近傍分子雲、大マゼラン雲等の観測を進めるとともに、なんてんによる100GHz帯の銀河系分子雲の詳細な解析を行い、分子ガスの詳細分布を調べた。また、プランク衛星、ハーシェル赤外線望遠鏡による100ミクロンから500ミクロンで得られた、星間ダストの分布を調べ、原子、分子ガスとの比較を進め、さらに既存のあかり、スピッツァー天文衛星による点源カタログを合わせ、若い進化段階にある星のカタログ化を行った。これらを用いて分子ガス、星間ダスト、そして星形成活動について比較研究を行った。
