研究概要

本研究の成果として，グラフ特に木や直並列グラフや木幅が小さいグラフに関する理論的な展開とアルゴリズムの効率化があげられる．電力網などを需要点と供給点のあるグラフでモデル化し，供給されている需要点の需要量の合計が最大になるような電力の流し方を求める最大化問題を扱っていた．本研究では，この最大化問題は木に対してすらNP困難であることを示した．さらに，部分ｋ木に対し，グラフの分割と巧みな動的計画法を導入して，この問題を擬多項式時間で解くアルゴリズムを与えた．この成果が高く評価され，FAW-AAIM 2012の最優秀論文賞が受賞されていた．
