シフト不変性なウェーブレット変換（特に2重ツリー複素数ウェーブレットとダイアディック・ウェーブレット）と区間演算を組み合わせて、従来のデジタル画像電子透かし法よりも画像圧縮や回転・拡大縮小といった攻撃に対して耐性のある電子透かし法を開発した。また、ダイアディック・ウェーブレットと区間演算の融合がもたらす数学的な性質を調べ、区間演算に基づいてウェーブレット変換すれば、その高周波成分に低周波成分が含まれることを数学的に明らかにした。そして、この知見を基に、開発した電子透かし法の性質を損なうことなく計算を高速化するアルゴリズムを開発した。さらに、画像の改ざんを検知できる電子透かし法も開発した。
