研究概要

Pim-2キナーゼは骨髄腫細胞に高発現しており、骨髄腫細胞の生存や薬剤排出ポンプ活性の亢進を媒介し治療抵抗性をもたらす。また、骨髄腫では骨髄間質細胞にもPim-2が発現誘導され、骨形成を抑制していることが示された。Pim-2の抑制は、骨病変微小環境がもたらす骨髄腫の腫瘍進展や薬剤耐性を抑制するとともに骨髄腫で抑制された骨形成を回復させた。Pim阻害薬はこれまでの治療では回復が困難であった骨髄腫骨喪失部に骨形成を回復しうる画期的な抗腫瘍薬になると考えられた。
