研究成果の概要

本研究では、国際化とイノベーションの相互作用がどのように企業パフォーマンスの向上に結び付くのかを、企業や工場レベルの大規模なデータを用いて分析した。まず、日本企業の場合、輸出開始後に学習効果によって生産性を向上させていることが認められた。また、海外で生産だけでなく販売や研究開発活動まで行う企業は、国内の研究開発活動の効率性が格段に高かった。さらに、輸出開始に伴い、生産品目の変更が活発に行われており、高付加価値の品目が導入される一方、低付加価値の品目が削除される傾向があった。輸出開始後の生産性向上は、生産品目構成の変化とも関連があると考えられる。
