本研究では、人々のモラルモチベーションに基づく自発的行動のモデル化を行い、環境政策に関する様々な分析を行った。分析の結果、人々がカント道徳的なモラルモチベーションを持つ場合、これまで想定していたよりも効率的な資源配分が可能であることが示された。さらに、このようなモラルモチベーションに基づく自発的環境配慮行動を促進するような政策の有効性も示された。また、独自の要因分解手法や貧困指標を用いて、価格インセンティブの有効性と副次的影響に関する様々な実証分析を行った。
