研究概要

本研究の目的は、バングラデシュ、インドそしてパキスタンのムスリム社会において、イスラーム宗教学校(マドラサ)が、教育課題解決の促進にどの様に潜在的に関与しているのかを調査するものであった。複数の国における状況を比較する事により、南アジアでのムスリムの社会生活におけるマドラサの意味を研究するものであった。この研究により、教育の文化的価値が、マドラサの順応性における大きなインパクトを持ち続けている事が判明した。また一方では、国が主導するこれらの学校への近代化政策は、マドラサにおける人間開発に関する意向と、国による教育制度との違いにより、未だ成功とは言えない状況である事も判明した。
