研究概要

本研究は、インドネシアの畑作地として重要な位置を占めるスマトラ島とジャワ島の火山地帯における、適正な施肥技術の確立を目指して行った。研究成果として、スマトラ島およびジャワ島における肥料成分を吸着する各種土壌粘土鉱物の分布と、地質および気候条件がその分布に与える影響を解明した。また現地実験により、土壌粘土鉱物の異なる圃場における肥料成分（窒素、リン、カリウム）の動態を明らにし、適正施肥の確立に重要な情報を得た。
