| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
How have some post-conflict states invited the global powers to their domestic financial terrain more easily than others? What are the endogenous and exogenous factors to facilitate foreign intervention? The proposed study attempts to explain why some post-conflict states resort to foreign actors more heavily than others
overtime, especially for their financial assistance. It is a new and innovative study examining how political and ideological intervention from global powers in the past can be transferred to today’s increasing financial dependency of the post-conflict states in South Asia.

| 研究実績の概要 |
How have some post-conflict states invited the global powers to their domestic financial terrain more easily than others? What are the endogenous and exogenous factors to facilitate foreign intervention? The primary aim of my KAKENHI research is to explain why some post-conflict states resort to foreign actors more heavily than others overtime, especially for their financial assistance. First, I attended three international conferences in AY2023 and two of them are related to my KAKENHI research. The two international conferences are (1) 2023 AAS-in-Asia conference organized by the Association for Asian Studies in Daegu, South Korea, on June 25, 2023 where I gave a paper presentation entitled “Foreign Aid Dependency in the Post-Conflict States of South Asia: The Cases of India and Sri Lanka”; and (2) World Congress organized by the Korean Political Science Association (KPSA) at Yonsei University in South Korea on June 30, 2023 where I presented a paper on “The Implications of Global Trade Wars on South Korea’s Development Cooperation for Emerging Economies.” Second, I published two academic articles in AY2023 and one is related to the KAKENHI research adopted. The article is entitled “Trade Disputes and Tit-for-tat Actions: Relocating International Relations,” which was published by the Korean Association of International Studies for its academic magazine Korea on Point on September 19, 2023. Third, I also conducted field research several times in AY2023: (1) February 17-26, 2024 (Singapore); (2) March 10-23, 2024 (Sri Lanka and India) and collected data.

理由
My KAKENHI research adopted has been progressing rather smoothly ((2)おおむね順調に進展している。) with field research through which I could collect a lot of important primary sources for the text and lexical analysis. However, I had to utilize the semester break time going for the field research and international conferences, which were quite tight to be pursued as I had substantial teaching loads during the semesters. I will do my best again for this year (AY 2024) conducting field research and participating conferences to share my preliminary findings to develop my research.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
I will conduct more field research to collect data from India and Nepal. Further, I would need to visit Singapore and Sri Lanka again for field research to collect data. I will also actively participate in both domestic and international conferences to present preliminary findings. I would like to publish more academic papers in the next few years.
