Conflicts ars prevalent in teamworks. It was found that conflicts in teamwork are not always counter-productive. Instead, some conflicts can even benefit the performance of teamwork. The current research aims to investigate what factors can lead to the occurrence of productive conflicts in teamwork.

| 研究実績の概要 |
The current research project aims to investigate the factors that can lead to productive conflicts in teamwork. In the first year, as planned in the proposal, the researcher has successfully collected a large-scale dataset using the Wikimedia API, which covers various multidisciplinary topics. This dataset helps to explore the landscape and mechanisms of conflicts on Wikipedia broadly. Additionally, based on the initial data analysis, the researcher developed an approach capable of precisely identifying conflicts and collaboration among Wikipedia editors. Utilizing this approach, the researcher has published a paper on effective productive collaboration on Wikipedia in a top-tier journal, JMIR, within the health informatics field. Furthermore, two working papers are currently under review.

理由
The research project is progressing smoothly. The objectives for the first year have been achieved as planned, resulting in the writing of three journal papers based on the year's progress, with one already published. This has led to significant advancements in the field.
Additionally, throughout the first year, the environment necessary for conducting subsequent research has been established. Consequently, it is expected that future results will further enhance the productivity of collaboration in real-world scenarios.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
The research project is advancing according to plan, with no significant changes in the second year. During this year, the main analysis will focus on unveiling the mechanisms of collaboration and conflict within online communities. The findings will be summarized in journal articles. Additionally, the researcher plans to participate in more international conferences to communicate and solicit feedback on the initial results from other researchers around the world.
