研究実績の概要 |
Our research unveils fresh insights into the impact of CSR on various facets of international companies. We highlight the pivotal role of investor perception in assessing CSR practices. Our findings underscore that investors highly value firms that prioritize the well-being of both internal stakeholders (employees) and external stakeholders (such as customers and the community). Notably, when comparing firms with mediocre performance in stakeholder care, investors lean towards those that prioritize internal stakeholders. Furthermore, our study reveals a preference among investors for firms that prioritize community support over customer-centric initiatives during times of crisis, especially within institutional settings where the community is more vulnerable.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
One direction for future research is to explore how cultural differences affect investors' views of companies engaged in CSR. For instance, we can examine how CSR actions by Japanese companies are perceived internationally. We anticipate that changes in society and regulations influence investor opinions on CSR. Additionally, it is important to examine how new CSR trends, such as environmental sustainability and diversity efforts, impact investor perceptions. By integrating different fields of study, we aim to create comprehensive models that explain how investors worldwide perceive CSR in companies.
