研究開始時の研究の概要 |
Creating a unified model to fit multi-wavelength data from radio-quiet Active Galactic Nulcei, focusing on unraveling the mysteries of neutrino emissions and the link between accretion disks and jets in supermassive black holes.

研究実績の概要 |
We have been working on three different papers. All are connected to this research project. The first one focuses on the ALMA observations of the seyfert IC4329A. We are fitting the millimeter emission with a non-thermal emission model and studying the variability of the sources on three different time scales. The second one, which is a little bit delayed, focuses on the application of the JED-SAD model, which is limited to the thermal emission in UV and X-ray, to the UV X-ray correlation of AGN. The final one is an unforeseen collaboration opportunity with Professor Chris Done, focusing on the effect of Faraday rotation on the X-ray photons escaping the flow of stellar mass black holes. This last project resulted in a paper submitted in late April.

理由
In November 2023, an unforeseen collaboration with Professor Chris Done from Durham University (UK), who regularly visit Kavli IPMU in Tokyo, presented itself. We started a project focusing on the effect of Faraday rotation on the X-ray photons escaping the accretion flow of a stellar mass back hole, which is also related to our JSPS project itself. We show that, given the strong magnetic fields present in models, this effect should depolarize the observations from IXPE. This brings the first observational constraints on the magnetic fields inside the accretion flow of stellar mass black hole. The paper has been submitted to ApJ in April 2024. This collaboration delayed my work on the JSPS program but is now approaching its end and thus will not hamper future progress.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
By August 2024, we will submit the paper focusing on the millimeter emission of IC4329A. By November 2024, we would like to submit the paper on the application of the thermal JED-SAD model to the UV X-ray correlation of AGN. For that, we are going to perform first estimates of non-thermal activity of the JED-SAD model and spectra. Also, we plan to visit to Grenoble (France) to start the modification of the JED-SAD model to include non-thermal emission. Computations of the first broadband spectra. By mid 2025, we will finish the paper focusing on the hybrid corona of the new JED-SAD model including the non thermal populations. Then, we will apply our model to broadband AGN data.
