研究成果の概要

臨床検査の基準範囲設定法の不統一が問題となっている。そこで研究代表者は2011年国際臨床化学連合・基準範囲判断値委員会の事業として、世界規模の多施設共同基準値調査を企画した。その目的は、国際的に共用可能な調査プロトコールの策定、実データに基づく最適な統計処理法の確立、標準化・調和化に対応した基準範囲の算出、人種・地域差など基準値の変動要因の解明である。2014年度末の時点で5大陸16ヶ国が参加、調査の完了した10ヶ国の基準範囲を最新の統計処理法で設定した。また共通のパネル試料の測定結果に基づき基準値を統合し・データベース化した結果、検査診断で有用な様々な臨床検査値の変動要因を明らかとした。
