研究成果の概要

本研究では最も長く務めた職種が引退後の認知能力にどのような影響を与えるのか，中高年労働者にとって認知能力や健康を維持するための最適な労働時間はどの程度なのかについて実証分析を行った．その結果，引退期間は認知能力に負の影響を与え，最も長く勤めた仕事について，データ処理能力の要求度が高かった場合，引退後，認知能力の低下を抑制する効果があることがわかった．また，週労働時間が25時間ぐらいまでは，労働時間の増加が認知能力に正の影響を与え，それを超えると，それ以上の労働時間の増加は認知能力に負の影響を与えることがわかった．健康に関しては労働時間のピークが20から25時間であることがわかった．
