研究成果の概要

先天性コレステロール代謝異常症では、生合成中間体やそれらの異常代謝産物が顕著な量で血中に蓄積、あるいは一部が尿中に排泄される。本研究課題では、肝における先天性奇形疾患である先天性コレステロール代謝異常症の一つであるSLOS疾患（スミス‐レムリ‐オピッツ症候群：7-デヒドロコレステロール欠損症、Dhcr7）を対象とし、本疾患の特異的指標として期待される4α- and 4β-ヒドロキシ-7-デヒドロコレステロール異常代謝産物の化学合成を行うと共に、液体クロマトグラフィー‐タンダム質量分析（LC/ESI-MS/MS）法を用いるメタボローム解析を行い、本疾患の早期発見と確定診断に寄与することにある。
