研究成果の概要

潮汐発電：干満潮に好適な双方向流ランナ形状を数値シミュレーションによって最適化した後，基本特性と流れの状態を実験的に調べ，(1)水力効率は一方向専用機と同等であり，（2）流れはブレードに迎え角を持って入りブレードに沿って流出し，(3)オンカム運転が可能なこと，を明らかにした．
潮流発電：実験と数値シミュレーションにより，(1)パイルに働く流体力と係留式発電ユニットの姿勢を把握し，(2)ブレード翼素の翼厚，そり線，最大反り位置を好適化した後，半径方向翼負荷分布の好適化によるブレード端渦の抑制，水深に応じたキャビテーション初生以下のプロペラ回転速度を考慮するプロペラの設計法を提案した．
