研究成果の概要

アインシュタインの一般相対性理論を拡張した重力理論の諸側面を研究した。特に、そのような理論を宇宙論的観測により検証することを目指し、密度揺らぎと重力波の相互相関関数の解析をおこなった。また、そのような理論におけるブラックホールの安定性を判定する一般公式を導出した。そして、広いクラスのブラックホール解が不安定であることを証明した。それに加え、最も一般的な単一場インフレーション模型を複数場の場合に拡張するために、先行研究の提案が誤りであることを示し、一般的な運動方程式まで導出をおこなった。
