研究概要

本研究課題では、経済発展における民主主義や制度的要素の役割に着目し、主に次の3つの研究テーマに取り組んだ。（1）民族的多様性と政治体制が公共財供給（特に健康）に与える影響、（2）金融グローバル化と制度的要素が国際資本移動に与える影響、（3）汚職と金融グローバル化が経済成長に与える影響、について研究を行った。民主主義や制度的要素が、経済成長率だけではなく、公共財供給など広い意味での経済発展に寄与することを明らかにした。
