| 研究開始時の研究の概要 |
This inquiry will use practitioner research, autoethnographic observations and interviews with other practitioners to elucidate the complex nature of authenticity, focusing on how intuition and social dynamics play a role in teacher's practice and in-the-moment classroom decisions and beliefs about best educational practices in the Japanese English language classroom.

| 研究実績の概要 |
In the past year, the project advanced through classroom-based research focused on teacher intuition and its relation to authenticity. Qualitative data collection was collected using narrative inquiry and audio journals. Preliminary analysis revealed that intuition mediates between individual teacher identity and student engagement, enhancing social authentication. Initial findings were shared at international conferences, including Thailand TESOL 2024, PLL5 in Madrid and the an invited keynote speech at Applied Linguistics Research in Action conference in Barcelona. A draft paper was completed and further data coding continues to develop grounded theory insights.

Things are progressing according to schedule so far, though due to a large teaching bank the collection of data outpaces the analysis.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
I will be visiting the UK later this year to discuss my findings and get some support from my former supervisor. I will begin analysing data next year.
